Cody visiting my mom at the nursing home

Cody’s Best Friends

As a husky, Cody tends to kiss first and ask questions later. This makes him the world’s worst watchdog! Every stranger he sees is just a friend he hasn’t met yet.

We live in an apartment building, which provides Cody with a rich collection of friends. He loves the neighbors with the three kids across the hall as much as the older lady who lives next door. He adores our property manager and has overcome his fear of the vacuum cleaner so he can be close to Ken.

He has lots of doggy friends, as well. Maggie, the red-haired hound mix, is a special friend we walk with every day. Sebastian, our property manager’s rowdy, white Lab, is a great wrestling partner. Jasmine, an older black lab, loves to chase him around.

Watching Cody interact with various people and dogs has taught me how to love others. I have learned not to judge others by their appearance, but by their heart. He has taught me how to truly “love my neighbor.”

I’m a Dog Mom

I’m a dog mom. When others share pictures of their children, I show pictures of my dog. When parents talk about their children taking ballet or karate, I talk about agility training. When my friends talk about making chocolate chip cookies for their kids, I talk about baking peanut butter bacon chip biscuits for my dog.

I created this dog lover’s blog for all of you dog parents out there. This is a place for us to post pictures of our dogs and brag about how cute, funny and smart they are. We can also talk about behavior issues ¬†and learn dog training techniques.

If you just got a puppy and need training tips fast, here is an excellent resource for you. http://rapbank.com/go/5225/71322 How to Train Your Puppy This is a sponsored product, that I highly recommend. I do receive a small compensation from it.
